The Justinian Society of Lawyers’ is proud to co-host this a special Italian Heritage Month Courthouse Tour and Panel Discussion alongside the Italian American Judges Association, Chief Judge Charles S. Beach II, and the judges of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

We are especially pleased to share that Justinian Society President Michael R. Bertucci will participate in the 11:00 a.m. panel, and we encourage our members to attend and support President Bertucci and the Society!

During the program, attendees will have the opportunity to observe a trial in progress, learn more about the trial process and legal system, hear from members of the judiciary, and connect with bar association representatives.

2026 JCCIA Columbus Day Parade & Celebrations

(From Wacker Drive to Van Buren Street)

Bring your family and fellow members to ride the Justinian Society & IIAJA float in the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans' 2026 Columbus Day Parade! The parade will be broadcast live on ABC 7, and live-streaming on abc7chicago.com.

While there is no cost to ride the float, we kindly ask that you RSVP and consider making a donation of any size to help support the float and our participation in this event.

Schedule of Events

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Columbus Day Mass at The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii.
11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Justinians meet at assigned float. More information to follow.
11:30 AM - 2:30 PM: Parade's opening ceremonies begin on the corner of State Street and Wacker Drive. The parade will commence south to Van Buren Street.
2:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Rush Street Reception; sponsored by The Bellevue, Tavern on Rush, Gibson's, and Carmines.

Serving as the chapter’s installation dinner, this special event will bring the legal community together to celebrate its leadership and support a wonderful cause. Costumes are preferred, and proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We encourage all members, friends, and supporters to attend and help make this a memorable evening!
