Bio
Cara V. Sawyer is a recent graduate of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a proud third-generation Italian whose family hails back to Taylor Street.
Ms. Sawyer is currently an attorney with the State of Illinois practicing civil environmental law, and is also interested in International and property law.
While at Loyola, Ms. Sawyer was the president both of the Loyola Justinian Society and of the Environmental Law Society. She spearheaded a year-long lecture series entitled The Social Impacts of Environmental Injustice during the 2020-21 school year.
In a past life, Ms. Sawyer worked in marketing with her family's company and before that was a professional classical French horn player and music educator for over a decade, and graduate of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She is fluent in Spanish and Italian.
